How to edit an image online
Use this free browser-based editor to resize, crop, blur, rotate, flip, convert to grayscale, and add text to images without installing any software.
- Upload your image Click the upload zone or drag and drop a JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP file into the editor. The image will appear on the canvas instantly.
- Apply edits Use the panels on the left to resize, compress, crop, rotate, flip, apply grayscale or blur, and add text overlays. Each action can be undone with the Undo button.
- Crop a region (optional) Enable Crop mode, then drag a selection rectangle on the canvas. Click "Apply Crop" to trim the image to that area.
- Blur a specific area (optional) Enable Region Blur, draw a rectangle over the area you want blurred, set the blur radius, and click "Apply Blur".
- Download the result Choose the output format (PNG, JPG, or WebP) and quality level, then click "Download Image" to save the edited file to your device.
Usage tips
- Use PNG format when you need a transparent background or lossless quality; use JPG or WebP for smaller file sizes.
- The Crop and Blur region tools share the same selection rectangle — enable only one mode at a time for accurate results.
- Undo restores canvas state but does not undo a Download action. Save only when you are satisfied with the result.
- For best results when resizing, lock the aspect ratio to prevent distortion.
Frequently asked questions
No. All editing — resize, crop, blur, rotate, and text — is processed entirely in your browser using Canvas and Fabric.js. Your image bytes never leave your device.
You can upload JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images. The editor renders the image on an HTML5 canvas, so most common raster formats work correctly.
Yes. Enable "Region Blur" mode, drag a rectangle over the area you want to blur on the canvas, adjust the blur radius slider, and click "Apply Blur". The blur is merged into the image permanently for that session.
The editor stores up to 20 history snapshots. You can step backward through edits using the Undo button, and forward again with the Redo button.
There is no strict server-side limit since all processing is client-side. In practice, very large images (above 30 MP) may run slowly depending on your device memory and browser capabilities.
